perfect!
i already had the normal h502, and while it was the best headlight ive ever owned, it did have that slight blueish tint you find with all led lights. i was hoping this 502d solved this lil issue. long story short, it most certainly did! the one review i seen on amazon that actually complained about tint color was total bs. there is NO noticeable "tint". its a very natural light color. it really does make your surroundings look the same as natural sunlight!

my report
I use regimes - for headlamp to be found - 0.01 Lm - for not to be found by bad people - 0.06 Lm - economic for walking - L2 0.34 Lm - optimal for walking - L1 2 Lm (4 days) - good visibility for walking - M1 40 Lm (7.5 hrs) - to find something small - H1 170 Lm so I need 7 ... the headlamp gives 11 But It gives only ~80% of the declared time with a new Eneloop 3UTGB 1940 mAH They say that It works with lithium batteries, but manufacturer says "no". I wanna to clear that.

Ideal for Close-up Work
I upgraded to this light from an H51Fw. It took a little while to get used to the differences, but once you realize the benefits of the H502d, it's just so impressive. One of the most noticeable improvements is that you don't need to move your head to get the light aimed where you're looking. It illuminates your field of view, including your peripheral vision. Truly, you forget you're even wearing a light! Awesome finish, great beam color, and useful interface makes this one of my best lights.

Gives new definition to the word 'useful'
Amazing light, no doubt the best I've seen and used. Comes handy in all kinds of situations that don't require high throw or using it on a vehicle. The rich neutral tint and runtimes are incredible. Cons: * significant glare due to the bare emitter design, looking at a person wearing this lamp might be painful; * battery meter might supply erroneous readings depending on the kind of battery used; * can't swap the emitter without compromising the light's build integrity.

great flood light
Very small, very great build, very bright. Interface is improved version of H51 which I thought was not possible. :) Very happy with the purchase.
