Used the medium setting and felt like it was a full moon. Not too bright, or white, but just right! I am a Zebra convert! |

The new interface is excellent, the tint is just perfect and the flood is just what I was looking for: plenty of flood with just enough throw for hiking difficult terrain. The only drawbacks with this floody type is that there is still a little bit of glare in my glasses, but much better than anything else I've tried.
The frequency of the PWM is high enough for outside chores, but still noticeable when looking at shiny objects like a stainless steel faucet. |

The H51Fw is my third Neutral White Zebralight (I also have the SC51W + H501W) and I really prefer it over my cool whites, it's much more pleasant to my eyes. So I'm really looking forward to a NW version of the upcoming SC600 (Hopefully together with the normal version!). It will be my first 18650 light and with its XM-L LED I also expect it to be really powerful! The tint of my H51Fw isn't too yellow for me, I like it a lot. |

I run, cycle & work using my lights. Found "neutral" tint quite yellow & not as useful for color & object distinction as whiter, higher temp LEDs. If U want to use the light exceeding walking speed (i.e. for cycling) get a standard 51, don't get a flood version. It's just not useable past speeds of about 7 MPH. Brightness not perfectly consistent thru flood diameter-tapers off towards sides making reading w/it like reading with a diffused, far LESS pronounced hotspot. |
